Third quarter of 2009 (July - September)
In this period, the reconstruction works were mainly focused on the finishing of exterior facades of the Castle palace where topcoating plaster and restoration works were accomplished.
On the palace roof the chimneys were installed and the restoration of dormers in the exterior was completed.
Inside of the palace, works on the interior plaster are ongoing on each floor. They have been already finished on the 3rd floor where the future exhibition area will be located. All preparatory works have been finalized on the engineering networks for the subsequent installation of soffits. Moreover, installation of windows and exterior plaster were continued on the courtyard facades.
The archeological survey on the North Terrace was enduring, which uncovered a significant amount of interesting discoveries. All valuable findings, e.g. Celtic coins, fragments of pottery, glass, bones etc. will become a part of the exposition located in the completely new exhibition area in the basement of the Castle palace.
The completely new illumination of the Bratislava castle was installed in August 2009. It has been launched for the very first time on September 1st, 2009.
