Second Quarter 2010 (April-June)

This was the period in which the plaster paintings, along with stucco decorations and gilding of the Ceremonial Staircase and the future representative premises, were finalized. More »

First quarter 2010 (January-March)

In this period, the reconstruction works were mainly focused on the completion of engineering networks, modification of flooring and coating plasters, along with assembling of plasterboard soffits. More »

Fourth Quarter 2009 (October-December)

In this period, the reconstruction works continued on the facades of objects on the Yard of Honour and on other courtyard facades as well. More »

Third quarter of 2009 (July - September)

In this period, the reconstruction works were mainly focused on the finishing of exterior facades of the Castle palace where topcoating plaster and restoration works were accomplished. More »

2nd Quarter of 2009 ( April – June)

In this period, the restoration works were focused on facades of the Castle palace where stone elements were restored and another layers of undercoating plaster were applied. More »

1st quarter 2009 (January - March)

The scaffolding on the last three external facings and towers was erected during the winter season so that old plasters chopping and masonry blasting could begin. It is a special technology in which a column of water is used for cleaning, i.e. water under high pressure. By virtue of this it is possible to clean the masonry perfectly and quickly, as well as ecologically. More »

Fourth quarter of 2008 (October – December)

A new elevator shaft was excavated, which will allow access to all parts of the castle premises. Demolition work was focused on the area of the former public protection shelter, which will have a new shape, and will be used as an exhibition area for the public. More »

Third quarter of 2008 (July – September)

Demolition work, the most intensive type of work, was carried out throughout the palace. Intensive work was done on the elevator shaft that will connect the Western Terrace with the castle area. More »

Second quarter of 2008 (April – June)

In April 2008, the first stage of the restoration of the Bratislava Castle officially started with the submission of the building site to Váhostav-Sk, a.s. which will carry out the restoration work. More »
